Apple Tree

We have an apple tree in our backyard. It's been around for a few years and according to our apple tree expert friend, it needed to be pruned. So, Grandpa got some pruning lessons from said friend and figured out just how to prune our apple tree.

This is a shot of the apple tree unintentionally taken when Elle and Wade were sitting outside by the dead bird "Cute".
Grandpa in action having pruned over half of the tree at this point with Greta as helper (and Brandon's hand).

And here is the final product. Pretty impressive. If you look closely you'll seen an entire stump section sawed off. It was rotted. So, hopefully we'll see lots of great apples this coming season. I LOVE apples.

Oh I am jealous! Both of the tree and the pruning skills. We are in our first real house with a yard, and I want to plant fruit trees, but I have NO skills and am very frightened! Will your dad come help me?!

How fun to have an apple tree. Do you know what kind you will get? Good luck!
